Oh the priceless meaning and value of friendship!

Friday the 13th was a very important day for us in our journey together. The stress and heaviness of our present situation is sometimes indescribable. These last 10 months have been quite the challenge.

But aside from the burden we are facing, we count ourselves especially blessed with the close and tight-knit circle of our supportive friends.
Friday 13th 2 of my closest friends for nearly 2 decades, drove in to be with us for this day.

The following quotes truly describe the gift of friendship. Friendship is truly something that you cannot put a price tag on. The bible teaches us in Proverbs 18:24 that there are actually friends who are closer than family. We are blessed to have such friends.

Proverbs 18: 24: NIV * One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

A friend is one who walks in when others walk out.
-Walter Winchill

A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one’s heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. -Unknown

A friend is one with whom you are comfortable, to whom you are loyal, through whom you are blessed, and for whom you are grateful. -William Arthur Ward

A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are. -Unknown

Friends are those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer. -Ed Cunningham

Friendship is the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words. -George Eliot
